POWER OF FREE! #7: Disrupt, disrupt in Intelligent Content Marketing: Go Forth & Disrupt
Now in thinking through how you might be able to go on your journey, I’m really grateful for this piece that came out four or five days ago, where Jeff Bezos talks about for him what disruption is all about.
And as you can read, he says, you know, when you when you’re trying to understand what the future is going to look like, and what the changes that are going to occur that you need to respond to, don’t think about those think about those things that remain constant. And in his instance, it was about fast delivery was about the cheapest possible price. And it makes the point, you know, 10 years from now, people are never going to say to me, I, you know, I’m really, really, really fed up about you, because you haven’t tried to increase your price as you because you haven’t charged me enough. Or you haven’t, you know, you’re not, you know, I’m really disappointed you because it’s now taking you two days instead of three days to deliver your, your packages to me. So, you know, when I read this, I thought, Well, yeah, what I’ve understood, actually, what’s, there’s nothing different about my market today than than 3021 years ago when I started. And that is, people want peace of mind. And that’s never going to change.
Now, as I discovered this after the fact i’m not i’m not an Oracle, I can assure you. But I thought Yes, this is absolutely accurate. This is absolutely true. And so that’s my story. That’s where we come from. And I think that’s where we’re going. I’ll repeat this. Four years ago, I was almost bankrupt after 10 years of stupid decisions. And then I started thinking about what I was doing in a different way. And the last seven sessions, I’ve shared everything with you that I’ve learned over the last four years. So I started with nothing, right? There’s nothing stopping anyone in this room going out and doing exactly the same thing that I’ve done. So I urge you, go forth and disrupt because you’ll have a lot of fun on the way So thanks very much indeed.
