So where are you got culture that’s thinking about getting an MVP, and then growth hacking? I think it’s all bullshit. I think growth hacking is rubbish. And it’s rubbish. Because Sean Ellis who actually I’ve had kind of dealings with him in the past because he was basically through this with without and also resolved.
And these are two products that I was looking at very closely when I was developing my own software business. That was a plugin for Microsoft Outlook that dealt with the issue of email in the modern workplace. And he, he was intrinsically involved in that in those two contracts and then the dropbox as well. But he says and this is the killer for me growth. hackers are a hybrid of marketeer and coder, one who looks at that traditional question of how do I get customers for my product? And then answers with all this technical? Yep, yep, yep, yep. Yep.
Only an engineer could come up with frankly. But I profoundly disagree with this because he’s talking about the traditional question of how do I get customers for my product? Where’s my intellectual hero says you don’t find customers for your products. You find products for your customers, you do it the other way around. And if you do it the other way around growth hacking just disappears because the traffic comes to you. So I think it’s time that people who are starting businesses are engaged in some joined up thinking.
